Memorial Day Ceremonies

Today, we honor those veterans who died in the line of service to their country. There will be presentations, tours, music and time for personal reflections at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park. The theme for the weekend is Life After Combat.

Keynote speaker will be Lee Alley, veteran and author. Music will be by Linda Knief and the 44th Army Band. There will also be speakers from the David Westphall Veterans Foundation and a medals presentation from the Santa Fe Vet Center.

A static display from the New Mexico National Guard (usually a Blackhawk helicopter) is also a part of the morning.
